You should have the adrenal issue fixed prior to thinking you can become optimal for thyroid anyway (me too).

I have had the weirdest symptoms while titrating. I have had my hands feel like they were run over with a truck. Weird heart beats, racing, pounding (I swear I could hear it in my head and it sounded like someone was bowling up there).

It's been 7 weeks...Did you get tested and how were your levels? My doc really screwed me up when she changed me over and I ended up with a high TSH and had to titrate all over again. My body and brain felt like they were on a roller-coaster. Up and down and back again...

If you wanted to go back to Synthroid you would be on T4 only. Were you on T3 before? Have you see any benefit?

Yeah, I think this is called the learning process. Im on 3 grains for 1 week already. Today is just a really bad day for me, one of the worse. I know exactly how you feel with the titrating, Im having the same issues. I cannot seem to get the swelling down on my hands and elbows from RA. I don't know if this is due to adrenals or hypo or hyper symptoms. I felt much like this when I was Hyper. All I know is I want out of this body. lol I have not been tested since 4/29 just before I started on NT. My TSH was at 0.813 and my free T3 2.9 (2.0-4.4) RT3 13.7 (9.2-24.1). They didn't do a FT4, so I really don't have answers for this.
I was only on Synthroid 112, never been on t3, until now. Maybe I should as for new labs? But since I been on 3 grains for only 1 week, it may be too early. The weeks before I switched over to NTD, I started taking synthroid at night, and was feeling great.

I am thinking that you need to hang with it...because if you stop you will have to start this whole process again. We agree...it's never any fun.

Going from a T4 only to a combo can cause more symptoms. It's changing everything...It's a different medication with different attributes.

From your T3 blood test, your level is low...Yes, you need it. Mine was 3 the last time I was tested. I will test after my primary physical visit. She doesn't prescribe me thyroid meds, but I want her to order the labs so I can get insurance to pay for it.

I have high cortisol (or did in January) and below 0 TSH. I just don't think I am getting the medication into my cells. I have had sporadic high blood sugar to (insulin resistance???). Don't know...but that will be my approach when I see her.

You can't feel better in a week. Hang tough - you'll make it!

i have same issues with whole thyroid, i dont think anyone really has a secret recipe and it seems nobody can say exactly how to go about it. if numbers are only an indicator and symptoms are what counts, what happens if i never feel better? but im sticking with it for now.

dont lose hope, keep at it with your doc, make sure you are being titrated correctly and tested to check the levels and work on it from there, accurately. i know its hard. but you not alone.

Thanks all, some days are worse than others. It just seems like too long of a process to feel normal. I am going to stick with what I am doing, and have the faith I will get through this. I'm just loosing so many days not doing anything. 3 more weeks and I can get tested, I cant wait. Im going to do a cortisol test soon to see what my results are, maybe I need assistance with my adrenals. You all have a "Feel Good" Day

Make sure you talk to the doc before making decisions. I know everyone says that, but its true.
