I have read a few things online that if you have an underactive thyroid you are more prone to arthritis, bulging disks, etc. Any truth to that? I am suffering (and I mean suffering) with my degenerative disk disease and have had an injection, physical therapy, medications, massage, etc but stil drag my legs and have a heaviness to them when I walk. It makes most activities painful if not impossible.

I made an appt with my endo. to discuss this, and I am fed up with the wait to see her. It will be three months before I can get in. This is unacceptable to me. I would have to travel an hour away to get to another one. There are four in my area, but I have been to two of them and they are crappy.
