I can tell you this: I've had pernicious anemia due to a low vitamin B. A super b-complex helped that.
And I've had low iron, that, too, was helped with supplements.
It's wise to find out what's causing the anemia if it's super low and rule out anything "scary", but, yes, hypothyroidism and the issues with digestive absorption can cause SOME types of anemia.
