Hypothyroidism Support Group
Hypothyroidism is the disease state caused by insufficient production of thyrohormone by the thyroid gland. There are several distinct causes for chronic hypothyroidism, the most common being Hashimoto's thyroiditis and hypothyroidism following radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroidism. And, even though you didn't ask, I do advise that you take your T4 all in one dose.
With its long half-life, there's no reason to split the dose.
In fact, you might consider taking your T4 at bedtime...at least two hours after last food/drink other than water (and, of course, apart from stuff like iron, calcium and magnesium).

Did you take the saliva test to determine your cortisol levels?
If you are adrenal insufficient or have Addison's, you need cortisone replacement and nothing else will help.
I'm not advising you to go off your thyroid meds, but you really should get tested for addision's.
GageL is right...the only fix for that is cortisol replacement.
Also been having acupuncture treatment and TCM med to strengthen the kidneys (in TCM, kidneys and adrenal glands are grouped together).
