Here are my latest labs

6/29
FT4-1.63
FT3-3.5
Raised armour to 105
Dosage 62.5 levoxyl, armour was on 90 now 105

7/24
FT4-1.91 Range (0.82-1.77)
FT3-3.9 Range (2.0-4.4)
Doctor reduced levoxyl due to high FT4
Dosage 50 levoxyl, armour 105

Dose changes were made about 2 weeks apart raising armour and lowering levoxyl. I'm not really feeling much better even though my levels are high end. Can anyone shed some light on why this may be the case. I know I need to wear the levels for a while. Symptoms are many palps, not sleeping good, moody. The doctor has me on Dhea and vitamin c for adrenals. Palps have never gotten better the entire time and go in varying degrees. This symptom is the most annoying. Since I am at the top of the range could this be adrenal or am I just not optimal yet? How does this cycle ever end?

Have you done a saliva test for your adrenals? You won't feel better no matter what your levels are if your adrenals are stressed.

I did Dawn and not too bad. Dr. Conden has me on this protocol. Did u have that problem and what were your symptoms?

I had depressed cortisol in the morning and at noon. I used to take hydrocortisone in the morning and at noon, but now I only take it in the morning. I felt better almost immediately. I was still tired no matter what my levels were until I started the hydrocortisone. I just lowered my meds a few days ago because I felt hyper and agitated. My levels look awesome on paper, but my body is telling me something else.

When do you see him again? I hope you feel better soon!

I see him in couple months or sooner if I need. Did u have a lot of palps, insomnia, and low moods with the adrenals? It's tricky because it could be low thyroid too. I've never been optimal going on years but had really stupid doctors until condren. Hope u fell better as well. Does he mind if you adjust on your own?

It's not that had minded if I adjusted my meds myself, I told him that as we were titrating up, if I felt symptoms I would make a small increase and if I felt hyper, I would decrease them. I don't think he particularly likes me making these decisions on my own, but when it comes down to it, I know my body. The meds are dangerous if abused. I had it in my head that I had to be at the high end of the range or I wouldn't be "optimal" and that's not right. Optimal is the right dosage for your symptoms, not a number. If you don't feel right with that much medication in you, something else is probably going on.

I wanted to add that I went to Dr. Condren when I was at the high end of the range and said I still didn't feel right. Something was still wrong. So he tested me for the MTHFR gene mutation and it turned out I was positive for it. So all I had to do was take folate, not folic acid to help something called methylation to get started. Well, I took 1 pill in the am and 1 pill at night just as instructed. Long story short, it was too much. I was agitated and felt like I was on crack. So I just took one in the morning and felt better. But now my thyroid meds seem to be too much. So I reduced them. Maybe ask for the MTHFR test. It's a blood test.

Have you tested for anemia? I stopped having the palpitations as soon as I corrected my iron intake....
