Sorry for the reason you're here but, glad you found us.
Studies have shown that some thyroid patients are "wired" in such a way that weight loss can be challenging, to say the least.
However, I don't think it's a lost cause.
The reason I say this is due to the fact that I had weight difficulties when my levels weren't optimal. I could gain 5 lbs. in 3 days and, no matter what I did, the scale just didn't move.
Once my levels were optimized and stayed that way, my healthy diet and regular exercise helped me get back to the size I'd always been.
Optimal levels = no thyroid symptoms

For whatever it's worth, many people with hypothyroidism need more than Synthroid yet that seems to be the only med doctors prescribe.
