Gotta thank my Dad for helping me worry about something else! "Hey Jeff, with you being in the woods a lot, have you been checked for Lyme disease?" After reading up on it....for hours.... now THAT has me worried. Even though they say it's rare in Tennessee, now its got me worried that might be the problem. LOL. I guess I gotta just laugh about it. My health has officially made me paranoid.

While many of the symptoms of Lyme are similar to symptoms of hypothyroidism, your thyroid levels confirm that you *are* dealing with hypothyroidism.

I hope Lyme doesn't get added to your list of issues.

It couldn't hurt to get checked for it. When I first started seeing my ND he ran a very comprehensive panel on me checking for everything from Lupus to Lyme Disease. Thankfully all symptoms were completely related to my thyroid.

I had Lymes and it was awful. It was very hard to get rid of. And then
I always worry about it. The tests are not very accurate.

jwlee35, while its not impossible to contract Lyme Disease in Tennessee, its very unlikely unless you have been traveling to other regions like Connecticut, eastern Long Island, Chesapeake Bay, parts of New Jersey. Because I had a residence in Eastern Long Island for 25 years certainly my first fear was Lyme Disease but after lots of testing, and a lag in time, the thyroid disease was finally diagnosed. I think you can relax about that and concentrate on getting proper treatment for your hypothyroidism.

Thanks all. My wife pretty much told me to STOP WORRYING SO MUCH!!! LOL. I just feel so bad that when my dad said that and I read the symptoms, it just got me thinking. I DO spend a lot of time in the woods, and have had a few ticks, but none that have buried in very deep. I'm just panicking I guess because I've been feeling AWFUL for so long. I find out Wednesday the results from the Endo and I'm betting my thyroid is the culprit. Sorry for venting everyone, lol

Um, hypothyroidism often presents itself as anxiety and unnecessary worry. It's part of the disease, actually.

Don't be sorry. Just get some sorely needed medical help.

It's hard not to worry when you don't know what's wrong...It's hard to see the end of the road when you are so veryexhausted from the journey.
