Looking forward to hearing from you!
Sorry you are feeling so terrible. Please post your labs with ranges if you have them so we can try and help. FT4 and FT3 are most helpful.
So sorry to hear of all that you've endured and continue to endure.
You should have had relief from your thyroid symptoms years ago!
As already mentioned, we can help you best if you're able to share some FreeT4 and FreeT3 results (with reference ranges that are usually listed on lab reports to the right of the result)
In the meantime, you might want to read "The Thyroid Solution" by endo Ridha Arem. He writes much about depression and the need for T3.
I suspect T3 is your missing link. Again, your labs will tell your story.
Hope to hear from you again soon!!
If you are only on Synthroid and your doses have increased, you may need T3. Hoping that you can get your FREE levels tested.
I have had depression, but am MUCH better on ARMOUR than I ever was with the 2 synthetic combo. Why? My body likes it better...
Hope you feel better after your doctor's visit.
I just know I cant go on much longer like this. My MD has NEVER sat down & explained to me the correlation between thyroid & depression. I kind of disappointed with him right now. I may have been suffering for years for no good reason. I pray that endo can help me.
Yes, recognizing the cognition, I would have to say that I am depressed even now, although probably not due to thyroid. I think too many practioneers chalk something up to being depression, yet many times there are other underlying or other causes.
I can only exemplify my cause by saying that due to everything this un-managed disease creates there are a great deal of symptoms that are not readily recognized... Yes, I will add that it truly sucks!
