Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Support Group
The term hypoglycemia literally means "low blood sugar." Hypoglycemia can produce a variety of symptoms and effects but the principal problems arise from an inadequate supply of glucose as fuel to the brain, resulting in impairment of function. Derangements of function can range from vaguely "feeling bad" to coma and in the worst case, can be fatal.
My husband found this site fore me. I have been following this diet for the past few days. I think it is helping will know more as time goes by. Good Luck

I was diagnosed about 7 years ago. My Dr told me I'd get over It, then sent me to a nutritionist and I landed In the E.R. from the diet plan she gave me.
Then I searched for so long trying to find something that works. I got so tiered of typing "hypoglycemia" anything. Then a few months ago I stumbled onto Tosca Reno's "The Eat-Clean diet Cookbook", and read that she's hypoglycemic as well and thought I'd give It a try. There's also a magazine out called Clean Eating you can look at to see If It Interests you. After eating this way, I have not had a "Hypo moment" since and I actually have enough energy to be myself again. O, and I have enough energy to work out daily as well. I highly recommend this to any one with hypo and any one who Isn't hypo.
There's even a recipe to make your own protein bars In one of her books. I thought I was going to dislike eating this way but it actually tastes good. No cardboard flavored food here. LOL.

As far as vitamins, all I take with this diet Is a daily vitamin for women. Any vitamin I took before this diet did pretty much the same thing...nothing to help with hypo.
I hope this helps.
I've done a ton of research on this and all I can come up with Is eating right to keep our levels normal. I'm not discouraging you If you want to try It, but I am asking that you be careful.
If any one has any questions I can try to answer them or, we can search together to find out what we come up with.
It's great to be able to chat with people who have hypoglycemia too. It's too difficult for people to understand how I'm feeling. Most of the time, by looking at me, you would know never I am experiencing symptoms unless I verbalize it. I'm good at hiding how I'm feeling because I don't like to talk about it, and also most people do not want to be around someone who is talking about their health problems. It's a downer.

I think it is important to chat and have support from people who are suffering from hypoglycemia. Families and friends do not understand.
I love getting recipes and ideas on how to help with my hypoglycemia. I hope you and other post and chat often.
