Hypochondria Support Group
Hypochondria refers to excessive worry about having a serious illness. Hypochondria is often characterized by fears that minor bodily symptoms may indicate a serious illness, constant self-examination and self-diagnosis, and a preoccupation with one's body. Many individuals with hypochondriasis express doubt and disbelief in the doctors' diagnosis.

I think it is very wise and strong of you to stay off of the internet and avoid researching symptoms.
I have recently enrolled myself in anxiety counseling, and one of the tips my therapist gave me was to stop googling symptoms. She described anxiety as a tiny monster inside of me who demands fuel, and when I have nothing to worry about, the monster will demand that I research my physical symptoms so that I will begin panicking all over again! It seems like a never ending cycle.
My best advice I can give to you is to remember that anxiety can trick your mind into thinking you are feeling things that aren't there. If your results came back ok, try not to focus too much on your pain (I know this is easier said than done.) My experience has to do with chest pains, and constantly thinking I was about to have a heart attack for about 4 months. Once I followed my therapist's instructions and stopped researching my chest pain, the pain eventually went away after a few weeks of avoiding researching it.
In conculsion, I think it will be very helpful for you to try not to research your symptoms. I believe in you, and I am sending my best wishes your way!!
I have been convinced Im dying of some sort of cancer. I have stopped googling symptoms and am trying to keep myself busy. And decidedto start looking for a full time job.
I promised my wife I would not google symptoms. In return, I asked if she would look up my symptoms for me and leave out the very rare and unlikely bad stuff. As long as I have a valid benign explanation for tingling feet or dizziness (or whatever else I am obsessing over) I I'll try my best to accept that.
Do you have anyone that can search for more reasonable explanations for you?
