HI everyone, I hope someone can answer a question for me. I have 5 generations of family with thyroid problems. Last year after me making a HUGE stink and finally getting my docs to do a full thryoid panel it turned out my antibodies were high..........they re-tested in 6 months and again came back high, but not as high as previously. I saw an endocronologist and she said she wasn't worried at all about the high antibodies
Today I went to my doctor and she said I would never need to have antibodies tested again because once they are high they will always come back high. This doesn't make a damn bit of sense to me, don't you need a new baseline??
I'm confused and frustrated. In September of this year I've started to have blurry vision, severe dry eyes and messed up periods. Well today my doctor said that I should see a gynecologist and that my other symptoms were probably due to medication........but I've been on the same 2 medications for more than a year. I feel like she completely blew me off.
I could use thoughts about the antibodies thing......thank you, Florida

Thyroid antibodies come down from the meds taken. Also taking LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) will help as well.
Were the TSI and the TRAb done for the Graves' Disease? I am assuming you have GD.
Antibodies tests should be done periodically, maybe every six months to a year to see what kind of progress is being mad from the meds taken and seer if remission is possible.

If your levels drop down too low (as in going hypO), eye problems can happen.

I quit seeing doctors for 6 months after that because I was so frustrated but now my vision has become blurry. I went in to my doc yesterday and she told me that I never need to have my antibodies tested again and that my blurry vision is probably due to my meds. I left there feeling very frustrated and just dejected. I've been on my meds for over a year(I take trazodone and clonazapam for pain management of another condition).
I guess I'm just out of luck as my doctors won't listen to me. Thanks for the reply, it's greatly appreciated.
