Last October I went in to be seen for fatigue. I was told I was slightly anemic and that my TSH was a little low at .51 but my T3 and T4 were normal. Over the last probably 4 months or so I developed many symptoms and things were progressively getting worse. I am so tired that I feel like I can barely function yet at night I have been battling insomnia just terrible. So sleep deprivation for months. I also have been having mental issues which have been hard to explain but I feel fuzzy headed.. almost like I'm living in slow motion and almost detached from reality. I've been very irritable and agitated and been short fused. Also have been feeling depressed yet I know I don't meet criteria for depression. My hair has been falling out and getting thin and brittle . I have lost about 50 pounds over the past 4 months aND i havent been exercising whatsoever. . And the weight I've been loosing has been in my arms, thighs, chest so now you can see my ribs, and in my face. I'm so weak and have no strength. My resting heart rate is around 100, my hands are shakey and my heart pounds so hard. I don't have a noticeable enlargement but my doctor said my thyroid felt enlarged. I feel pressure against my throat. Last week I had labs redrawn and my TSH is down to .33 but my T3 and T4 stayed close to October's normal levels. So this has baffled my doctor as to why my TSH is dropping but my other levels are normal. She doesn't know what's going on. I am scheduled to have a thyroid ultrasound in 2 days. The endocrinologist saI'd I can't be seen until the end of September bc they are booked. I know I cannot handle these symptoms for that long. My doctor is fighting to get me in soon. I'm very overwhelmed bc no one has really explained to me what's going on and anything about the thyroid. I really know nothing about the thyroid and conditions. And have no idea what's going on nor why it's happening. Any advice would be so great or information or explanations from experience or anything at all!
Sounds like subclinical Hyperthyroidism. But more blood test should be done, antibodies blood test: TSI and TRab,..then to check the antibodies for Hashimoto's: TPoab and TgAb..also throw in TBII.
Do not have any test with Iodine in them, like RAI...it can trigger eye problems. Eye problems are common with Hyper, but test with iodine can trigger worse eye problems.
To help now with the symptoms see if the Dr will give you a beta blocker...or are you currently on a Beta blocker?
If the T.S.H. is low and the Free T4 and Free T3 are in the normal range..most likely it is subclinical HypEr and is treated with a beta blocker.
It's helpful if you have the results if you can post the results and with the ranges.

Even Dr can treat Hyperthyroidism...but more blood work is needed.
Even the Dr can get you started on a beta Blocker, if you are not already on a Beta Blocker.

I was wondering if you could share what your symptoms were and how you were diagnosed. I ask because I have a lot of the same symptoms as Jahnkc90 (weight loss, can't gain weight, hair loss on head and body, etc...). I've had these symptoms for years and no doctor can explain. They all think thyroid but then they run the tests and all comes back normal. I've had just about every type of test done and everything comes back perfect. Hoping you can share your experience. The Dr should still run antibodies blood test.
Grave, antibodies blood test is TSI and TRab
Hashimoto's, antibodies is TPoab and TgAB
Then throw in TBII, it is more of the blocking antibodies. All these have to do with the Thyroid. But so many Dr just look at the every day test T.S.H., FreeT4 and Free T3.
