Hyperthyroidism Support Group
Hyperthyroidism (or "overactive thyroid gland") is the clinical syndrome featuring weight loss (often accompanied by a ravenous appetite), fatigue, weakness, hyperactivity, irritability, apathy, depression, polyuria, and sweating. Additional symptoms may include palpitations and arrhythmias (notably atrial fibrillation), dyspnea, loss of libido, nausea, vomiting, and...
I assume you do not have any positive thyroid antibodies? Elaine Moore, our thyroid expert, has articles and such to read at her website: elaine-moore.com.
While I don't have the same problem as yours with a 'hot' nodule, I've elected to stay on very low doses of MMI (Methimazole) the past 12 1/2 years. I did not want an RAI and I have done fine in keeping my thyroid as balanced as possible with watching out for all dietary and environmental triggers as best as I can.

However they (the doctors) forget that once people are made hypO with the RAI, that these people must get enough thyroid replacement hormone meds to stay alive. Unfortunately many doctors keep their patients hypO with not giving them enough meds. They just look at the lab results and tell the patients they're fine when patients are different from one another, meaning, each is going to feel differently with their labs from the next patient.
If you can, please post all lab results along with the lab reference ranges so we can better help you.
As for the supplements, you will need to see what your thyroid levels of the Free Ts are doing especially of the Free T3. If it is on the higher side or normal or too high, taking Selenium will make things worst as this will raise the FT3 even higher.
I moderate at: livingwithgravesdisease.com. You can check out the Thyroid 101 link and read any articles we have there to help you with keeping balanced with 'hot' nodules or multinodular condition.

Thyroglobulin antibodies
I don't know what kind of numbers you have for the thyroid antibodies you had done - the TPOab and the TgAb. Those two are to check for Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which is a mostly hypO condition, not hypER.
Can your doctor order the TSI and the TRAb to check for any Graves' Disease antibodies to make sure?
