Hi,


I wonder what can trigger this? X-rays, MRIs, viruses, infections? Other than having an auto-immune disease, like Graves Disease what can trigger Hyperthyroidism?


What do you think triggered yours?

Oh my! Did you move?

For me, definitely DNA (dad) and a lot of stress coming from a month and a half of MRI testing (specifically the brain and neck areas) AND stress from my mother-in-law passing and her home being cleaned out by me alone because my brother-in-law and family were too lazy to help out in this process. Happy THAT part is over with.

Anything can be a trigger that's for sure. My maternal grandmother had hypOthyroidism. My mother had the RA and Adrenal Fatigue,

I forgot to mention that I was also post partum 7 months when Graves' symptoms began in addition to living next door to a toxic landfill.

So, the information I read about when GD might surface for woman was correct. At the time of the beginning of getting one’s cycle, after delivery of child, and menopause. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together. Hormones are very tricky. Especially, the interaction of our “female” ones with our thyroid ones.

Hello, I had a hyperthyroid when i was 43. I was able to change my diet and cause it to go in remission. There are studies showing that a imbalance of omega 6 and omega 3 in our diets are causing auto immune diseases., I still have alot of my doctor forms that prove what i am saying. Yes I was just diagnosed and I would love to hear what you did in terms of diet. I really don’t know what to eat?! I used to eat pretty healthy and everything I love seems to contain iodine!
