I am sorry you are not feeling well.
I hope these thyroid labs of the Free T3, Free T4, and TSH were done, especially and perhaps any thyroid antibodies to see if thyroid issues is of an autoimmune disorder. Depending on which of the Free Ts, can be either one or the other or both, that will decide on the types of meds to be taken such as an ATD (anthyroid drug) or a beta blocker or both.
If you so feel inclined to post your labs include the lab reference ranges and which meds that will be used for the thyroid; we can better help you figure things out.
I do not know anything about Xanax to comment on it.
