Hyperthyroidism Support Group
Hyperthyroidism (or "overactive thyroid gland") is the clinical syndrome featuring weight loss (often accompanied by a ravenous appetite), fatigue, weakness, hyperactivity, irritability, apathy, depression, polyuria, and sweating. Additional symptoms may include palpitations and arrhythmias (notably atrial fibrillation), dyspnea, loss of libido, nausea, vomiting, and...
Sorry for a later response in getting back.
It would help to know what the thyroid levels of the Free T3 and the Free T4 are like. If you have the last few lab results along with the lab reference ranges for the Free Ts, post here and we can try to figure out what is going on.
Also post how much of the MMI is being taken and how often. How much MMI was taken at the time of each lab draw.
The Free Ts might not be where these need to be at to be as symptom free as possible. Which means working with the MMI doses to get it 'right'.

I was diagnosed in June 2013. I tried to manage it without medication (which was a mistake) until November when I noticed I had developed a bulging left eye (Thyroid Eye disease) as a result of the constant elevated thyroid hormones. It took me 3 years of trying various remedies to get my eyes back to normal. Wearing glasses, due to the dry eye symptom, helped to hide the bulge. I tried numerous things, but I think that CBD oil, Frankincense oil (taken internally), alpha lipoic acid and adrenal formula probably had the most effect, along with removing toxins from my daily life. The goal is to attack the inflammation that is causing the dry eye and bulge. Both finally settled down and I am migrating back into my contacts. I too developed puffier eyes which I still struggle with somewhat. I have been off medication now for 1 year. My TSH is still low, but my FT3 & FT4 continue to be in the upper 3rd of normal.
After 3 years, I've come to recognize the symptoms when I'm going hyper or hypo and can take action. I can't impress upon you how important it is to clean up the toxins in your life: toothpaste, deodorants, lotions, shampoo, soap, food, etc. etc. You need to eliminate anything that contains soy and label read. Toxins are not your friend!!!
I urge you to do tons of research and do not give up. The doctors "easy" answer is to remove the thyroid or irradiate it, but in the end that will most likely be costly to your overall health. You should be getting your levels checked every 4-6 weeks and having your medication adjusted accordingly. With diligence you can learn how to manage this disease.
Please feel free to message me if I can be of any help.
