I hope it was the Free T3 and the Free T4 that were tested. I don't know how elevated the T4 was, but if it was outside the high end lab reference range, then an ATD (antithyroid drug) would be prescribed for this.
Since your labs have been awhile, insist to the doctor to reorder the FT3, FT4, and TSH to see where you are at now to see if any meds are needed.
