I have had dizziness and a spacy/foggy feeling for over 8 years without letup. I don't know if it was caused by this or something else, but it is one of the worst symptoms of all bbecause I feel like I have been beaten with a dummy stick.

Dizziness is a symptom of this disease. It was the only thing that bothered me most being stuck with after surgery. I was so hopeful it would go away. It prevents me from driving and some days just walking is a chore.

After years of trying to figure out what was causing the dizziness, doctors finally diagnosed me with Meniere's Disease. A balance test and hearing test is what proved the diagnosis. I would speak to your doctor about getting a hearing test, maybe, to rule out a secondary cause.

I'm sorry to hear that you struggle with dizziness/foggy feeling Brenden! I couldn't imagine having the dizziness that long! I get the brain fog quite often too.

tehdreamer: I've never thought of Meniere's disease. Does it come on all of a sudden? This dizziness/vertigo will come on all of a sudden for no reason at all and I never know how long it will last. I will definitely mention it to my doctor. Thanks.

I do have sure triggers for my vertigo, but a lot of times it does come very suddenly and leaves just as sudden. So I'm stumbling around one minute then fine the next. My bigger vertigo attacks are triggered by emotional or physical exhaustion. Those can last for days on end.

Personally, I wish it were another symptom of HPT cause I feel like there would be something that could be done about it. Meniere's has no cure, just adjusting your life to live with it.

I've had both diseases so long, it's hard to even tell when either began or if they have any correlation.
