Hello, when calcium is high, parathyroid hormone should be low, and yours is from what you write. Maybe you do not have PHPT, I would consult an endocrinologist.

I have also experienced burning sensations in arms, it is a symptom of PHPT.

Hi, Burning blood, it turns to fire and then you become extremely toxic of weakness, as if all the life has went out of you and you just want to close your eyes and even when you do you can still feel the warm sensation bleeding within your veins all over your body or in various areas. I have heard of no cure and if you actually have the genetic true form of parathyroidism as I do it can't be "cured" and the primary gland will only be attempted to be altered or you could say normalized by removing some of the tissue. Removal would according to Mayo Clinic only set the next gland to become the leader or as it is referred to as a "mother" - however I am rare - I have survived living with calcium above level 15 * 1 in 1000 year ratio according to Mayo Clinic) and it has been historically documented over the last 18 years since it was discovered by doctors in Oregon and treated by Mayo Clinic as to what was making me so sick as a youth and young adult and sadly still. I do know anyone that is only affected by a tumor which will be benign or cancerous is supposedly curable because in those cases you just remove the entire gland. I however am not sure if that is a great thing or in truth cures them completely and leaves no lasting side affects. DNA mutation is noted to be caused by our hormones being altered by the glands productions system. To this date we just do not know enough about DNA so I find myself at a stand still of how to fight this illness at every turn other then to keep a positive attitude. In my case unlike others I have lived my entire life sick, starting as early as 3 months of age. I am now 48. The other sad part of this nightmare is that our government does not care and there is no resources. Our kidneys are attacked but yet not dead so the kidney foundation is a dead end. Hypoparathyroidism is the only one so far recognized per its horrific crippling disabilities. Per Hyperparathyriodism for people like myself that can't be cured at a 100 percent ratio we actually will need others who can't be either or can be but have to suffer for a bit like I do everyday for just a few months or years. I do hope one thing, in the end we are recognized as citizens that must endure the most unthinkable horrific agony at any given time and thence survive. :( So this is something per the burning blood I would think you should check, your McHc and see if it is low? including your Hemoglobin is off? and blood cell counts white and red. I currently have for the first time been looking at my labs to see what they are seeing. And was shocked I was never informed that it was more then just calcium and oxygen levels. Though we did get the hypercalcemia under control I still have stones as hyperparathyroidism creates its own. I also now have had my calcium registered just a tinch to low 3 times over the last few years. registering in the 8's since my operation in 2010. As said it did not stop the stones, may have helped make them not as "large" and "frequent" - I also noticed that when my body hyperventilates that liquid magnesium is the fastest substance I have ever encountered to counter attack within seconds and making me become stable within 15 minutes to a few hours versus days and weeks. However the is a cure study being used for "hypocalcemia" but possibly a cure for this disease as well I am thinking. Would it stop the burning blood though I do not know. If it would I would be extremely grateful. However there is no study group in my area, the only time liquid magnesium is used on my is when I am in acute respiratory distress and we are trying to stable the my bloods oxygen. The hospital I go to is also from what I feel not very happy about trying to battle this rare illness, that or it is because I no longer have private insurance from being sick to long, loosing my business, and being priced out from the Obama Carer reform in 2010. To date I have had over 30 to 35 ESWLs performed on my since the 2000's and yesterday we confirmed though all my labs the weeks before said my blood was clear of hypercalcemia and active hyperparathroidism that "that" is actually wrong and Mayo Clinic is right, my body will always produce stones, the variable degree is all the alteration surgery changed some. I have 5m almost 6 logged into my right flank and a even larger one higher up in my left that has not dropped in the chamber yet. And from all the robotic operations I had at Mayo Clinic to remove kidney stones in 2011 and internal stones in 2013 and 2014 I have various hernias and my bowel pushing through my umbilical cord. Not really sure what the next steps are. I am also gaining weight like mad and not happy. I now weigh 236 pounds. in 2014 they removed my Gal Bladder from stones. However I am not sure it that was the cause of the hernias and the return of the weight or if the wave of stones is coming back to say hello to me. Last year the oxygen crashed and that too was like a repeat from all those years ago when I was bedridden day after day. Per why I can get no help like SSI it is because I was born this this sickness and I committed according to them the act of marriage thence not entitled under children benefits any longer. So if you are not married I advise you never do or you will be like me, figuring this out alone.
