Hyperhidrosis Support Group
Primary hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Some patients afflicted with the condition experience a distinct reduction in the quality of life. Sufferers feel at a loss of control because perspiration takes place independent of temperature and emotional state.
I always have perspired a lot, but a few years ago, it turned into a shower. My head was the worst, I used to go through 4 or 5 hand towels a day, to wipe myself off.
It was embarrassing, but eventually, I just wanted it to stop. Someone in an RA group mentioned taking a pill for it. I got the name, had to get a prescription and specially made up, but I am almost normal!
Two a day was the normal dose. I was totally dry! But it seemed to be a stimulant, and I couldn't sleep and I had to reduce it to once a day, which left me still feeling very good.
The catch? Very dry eyes and mouth! Except, I have Sjogren's Syndrome, secondary to Rheumatoid Arthritis, I already had severe dry eyes and mouth. So, if you are 109% dry already, this drug makes no difference. I personally wouldn't take it, if my eyes and mouth were normal. I guess it depends on how bad your hyperhidrous is!
Anyway, the drug I take is: Glycopyrrolate Compound.

I don't have it, but it runs in my ex-husband's family (his grandfather, father, my ex, his sister and now my daughter has it).
She manages with over the counter clinical strength antiperspirants usually once a day, sometimes twice on her hands/feet.
My ex had issues with chronic fungal infections, and his father had even more severe issues with them.
There are other things you might try, including antiperspirant wipes.
