Mine starts at kindergarten

Hi Evie, mine started about your age (12/13) it started with my armpits then hands and feet, I remember using Driclor a couple of times for my underarms and then just grew out of it I guess but my hands and feet got worse as I got older (I'm now 25) and everythings just been such a struggle, I had botox injections in my hands which didn't work at all and was very painful, I also tried iontophoresis but that didn't work for me either my hands and feet seemed to just swell more and still sweat. Last week I had ETS surgery for my right hand which has been amazing so far still in some pain from the surgery but once recovered will be going back to have my left hand done!!

I first started noticing my overly sweaty armpits around 14/15. Something that has always helped me manage my symptoms is the deodorant I use. Certain Dri has proved to be the most effective for me. It contains less aluminum which helps reduce the amount of sweat. www.certaindri.com

evie, i am a man and not sure it matters here, i had wet hands and feet start sometime about 12-13 years old and I am now 60. the sweating never stopped for me until i got older and i began to get breaks. just saying it will stop unexpectadly in fact i am sweatfree now typing this, be patient its not the worse thing. I know this because i was hit by a drunk driver while riding my motorcycle and the injuries were severe but i walk without a limp now and i remember some of the people in the waiting room of the ortho doc, they were hurt for life, not like us, never could recover from huge trauma like i did and it put my sweating problem into perspective, it s nothing to worry about because worrying will make it worse. besides that, it does stop

Hey Evie:) I just joined this group, but I've had HH since I was about 13. I can remember going through gym class with a jacket on to try to hide the sweat stains. I have a few tips, having gone through this in the past ten years (I'm only 18). First, it sucks. But that isn't to say it will control you life. Second, try to begin with the least harsh treatments. I started using Certain Dri around 15, and it worked pretty well for a while. Now I use Odaban, which is thus far a true miracle. Third, please don't do what I did, and think that no one ever sweats except you. I remember telling my boyfriend about me having HH, and he honestly could not have cared less. He still insisted on holding my hand. So recognize the people you can count on, because chances are, they're wayyyy stronger in number than you'd think.
