Hyperhidrosis Support Group
Primary hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Some patients afflicted with the condition experience a distinct reduction in the quality of life. Sufferers feel at a loss of control because perspiration takes place independent of temperature and emotional state.
I have been there, done that! Socks literally soaked through, shoes ruined, slipping off of my flip flops...and the worst one...light brown leather shoes turning dark brown because my feet were sweating THROUGH the shoes!! It's terribly embarrassing.
For now, if you haven't tried aerosol deodorant on your feet, it might be worth a try. Roll-on and stick deodorant wouldn't work well on my feet, but the spray seemed to work better. Also, try soaking your feet in warm salty water at night (Just dissolve salt in warm water); it might help decrease the sweating a little bit.
Please read my post about Oxybutynin Chloride. I've been on it for almost 10 years now and my sweating is almost nonexistent. I want to help others going through what I went through. Best of luck to you!
