Its pretty cool when you do finally meet somone in person who has it. I was at work training a summer intern one year who has it. Im female, 34 and he was about 23 or so and once we each came to know the other had it, we chatted like old friends. What kind of HH do you suffer from?

its mostly in my hands and feet, i had a surgery a couple of years back to stop my hands from sweating it helped for my hands but re-diverted all the sweat to othere areas really my head, chest and torso legs feet,ect haha u get t he point, ya that is cool ive been really pretty interested in talking to people with the same problems ive been dealing with my whole life definetly nice to see theres othere people who understand.

So did the surgery stop your hands from sweating? Do they sweat now? Still?

ya it did it was a very crazt experience my doctor kepts telling me that i would wake up and my hands wouldnt sweat but i couldnt beleive it till i woke up and they havent sweated since they still can get clammy but it only happens when it should, very grateful that i was able to do that it has brought me alot of little comforts

Auri, you have no idea how many times I've said that over the past 10 years or so! I'm 29 and live in MN. I have a pretty severe case of Hyperhirosis. I had ETS too which was awesome for my hands, but the rest is still a price to pay (my trunk of my body and feet). Anyways, i'm working on creating an online dating site to help me and others with hyperhidrosis and a couple of other related conditions to meet and date others like themselves. Haha, I know! This weekend I was invited to a bbq, so I did something I only do if I plan to be outside, wear sandals (no socks). I arrived and was not happy to learn everyone decided to hang inside....in the kitchen.....on a wood floor! My nightmare! Bare feet that sweat excessively on a wood floor! I was so insecure and humiliated about the footprints I left wherever I went! :(

Haha..oh no! That has happened to me so many times; it is humiliating! Even outside I hate wearing sandals because my feet sweat so bad, you can see it on the top of my toes and along the sides of my feet; I can always tell when people notice and start staring! But really - how can someone NOT notice...my feet glisten in the sun, lol. Unfortunately its been over 100 degrees nearly every day for the past few months where Im at, so sandals and flip flops are pretty much a must. Im going to a new dermatologist tomorrow and asking for ditropan (Ive been on robinul but its not working) and I also want to try iontophoresis. Im hoping to get a little relief...we'll see!

I'd love to have a contest with you, because I don't think anyone's sweat as bad as my feet. I have drips going down along the sides of my feet. One night I was out at a dark bar, so I braved sandals and some guy asked me if I had glitter on my feet! LOL I lied and said yes! Hahaha

Omgsh! I could just imagine standing on a hardwood floor - whoever leaves the biggest puddle wins...LOL! It is nice to be able to joke about it with someone who understands, especially since it gives me hell daily. I've had so many people notice and comment on my feet when wearing sandals. I just love hearing: "what's wrong with your feet?!" A guy I was recently dating asked me why I wear socks all the time; he knew about my hands (obviously) so I explained my feet were just as bad and figured it was ok at that point to ditch the socks if we were just hanging out at the house...I think it totally freaked him out once he noticed how bad it really was!

Your dating site went up exactly a month ago! Congratulations, that was such an intelligent idea! I've gotta say this site takes a load off my shoulders. It feels soooo good to know others suffer from the same thing as me. The worst is black school tables like in biology or gymnastic or wrestling mats...the black color shows the sweat so bad. Mortifying.
