I think honesty is key. I'm in a bit of a different situation. I am a lesbian and was told when I first found I had hpv that I could not pass it to another female (I have the non GW kind). I've been with my girlfriend for 8 months and was very upfront from the beginning that I had this, even though I was told by THREE drs that I could not pass it to a woman.
