I feel like I'm staying with my boyfriend simply because I feel like he is LITERALLY the last man on earth because we both have the same strains of HPV (since he is the one that gave HPV to me). I'm 51 years old and have been with this man for nearly 4 years. He has a monsterous 18 year old pathetically lazy high school drop out son and an idiotic ex-wife BOTH are total nightmares! My boyfriend is constantly pacifying and placating his forever-toddler pathectically lazy adult high school drop out son and his selfish idiotic ex-wife. I have sooo many HPV related medical expenses and instead of him giving me money to help me pay for those bills caused by HIM giving me HPV, he spends money on placating those two. His ADULT son has a paycheck and spends it all on marijuana, guitars, expensive hair treatments and his girlfriend. It infuriates me beyond belief!!
I have approx $2000 already in medical bills and I have a LEEP scheduled for June 4th that I have to pay for since my deductible is $6300. I feel like I should be a higher priority than his loser adult son who wastes his entire paycheck. We CONSTANTLY get in arguments about his loser adult son and his ex-wife. I really want to just say GET OUT OF MY LIFE NOW but then I feel like I'm doomed to be alone forever. I dont want to give anyone the high-risk HPV strains that I already have and I certainly dont want to get any other strains that I dont have from some new guy. I feel untouchable because I'm infected with HPV and I also feel like every man out there is potentially infected with HPV so I dont want to touch another man either. I dont think there is a man that would want a sexless relationship but honestly sex is not appealing to me anymore. When I think of sex, I think of disease, expensive medical bills, painful and time consuming medical procedures. I have to take a day off work and lose a days pay for the LEEP on June 4th and the money is a huge problem - these are the thoughts I have when I think of sex so sex just isnt appealing anymore. Does anyone else feel this way?
I've been focusing on loving my body since I've been newly diagnosed. It's amazing, but I accidentally picked up a CD at the library that talks about loving your body no matter what and I do feel better. I haven't really thought about my husbands body or sex very much lately. At first I did, and said we have to have more sex so that I know I am loveable, but now I have this CD.
I think I could have sex now and enjoy it because of this CD. I listen to it twice a day. My partner would definitely have to be interested though to make it work. If he is thinking about disease it wouldn't work well, but I know that he won't because he hardly ever thinks about hpv at all.
I think trying to make a romantic setting will help keep me from negative thoughts. But, I'm not sure how it will go because we haven't done it yet.
I hope your family life gets better. Hopefully his son will move out soon and the ex-wife will find something better to do than to talk to your boyfriend. Maybe if the son moves out she will get out of his life. I'm not sure, but if they could just leave then your boyfriend would hopefully help you with the bills that he caused in the first place. I moved out of my house at age 19 or 20, I think. Things just weren't working out with my dad anymore and I had to move on. I went to live with my aunt.
My husband and I aren't as close as I would like. He drinks a lot and his smoking started to give me a headache. He has been smoking for 35 years so sometimes I wonder if I will be alone one day and what I will do. I almost wish they would remove the cervix and then my next husband would be high-risk hpv from a dating site. Sure he would be hard to find, but maybe one day it would happen. Take care.
