Like many of you, I always ask, "is this a forever thing?" I found this article informative and comforting on a lot of the questions I've had about the virus. I hope this is calming to some of you.

Immune system rids it eventually. Hang in there...We will get thru this..

it is good info, but it was rather discouraging to see that if you are someone who has actually developed HPV/GW that you are in the minority. Thats where I didn't find the comfort...lol. How much is 5%, really????? It just seems soooo small....ugh.

Keep in mind it's only 5% that is known...a lot of men and women carry HPV and GW and don't know...so the percentage is actually higher than that.

I thought it was funny when I saw the website you listed! I live in Champaign/Urbana....home of UIUC! And the McKinley health center is just down the street from where I am right now! Good info
