Question about Transmission

If a male or female has had HPV and was treated
and has no visible warts
can they still transfer the virus ?

Excellent question! Im planning on asking my gyno this question next month. Thank you Dava...because your posted has reminded me too!!

From what I understand...even though one does not show any visible symptoms they can still pass the virus subclinical. Meaning it is still present within their own skin. Since this is a skin to skin contact virus not fluid transmission. However, as time does progress the virus does weaken and eventually diminsh. The question is...when? It depends on your own immunity and the immunity of that other person being your partner. Therefore, use protection.

Oh ! One more thing...if you and your partner both have the same strain you can not ping-pong it back and forth because eventually you both develope an immunity to that strain or strains. One can be affected by more than one strain.
