Saw what looked like a wart in December 2014 on penis. Did private swab test which came back negative. My doctor said it was hpv. Went to GU clinic and they froze it off. No details of strains etc. Have seen nothing since. Was told by an expert on another forum that it was "likely" I have cleared the virus. This was just after the 6 months point after treatment. This is the ASHA forum. All the best.
Glad to hear that it has been taken care of an resolved! I think for men, we usually don't have an issue with HPV. Warts are low risk - meaning that they don't cause health problems. One area of concern for men is throat issues. As a man, I would recommend to continue to be safe. Wear a condom and if you give oral sex to a woman, use a dental dam or saran wrap.
Be well.
Thanks for getting back to me. There seems to be a lack of activity on this forum, and also on others. All the best.
cheers!
