LEEP?

I have to get the LEEP procedure in a few weeks. My doctor made it seem like it wouldn't be painful but did warn me about the novicane making my heartbeat fast. I am a little nervous. Has anyone had this done? I read some other discussions that freaked me out. Does anyone know if it is OK to take an anti-anxiety pill before hand?



Now that I've been diagnosed with precancerous cells where do  I go with this in my relationship? I'm not sure if its from my boyfriend but if it is, should I be concerned about contracting more precancerous cells after my doctor takes most of it out? Can he even be tested?

The LEEP isnt bad. Its outpatient and they put you out. Recovery will take maybe 2 days.

Im not sure about a test for boys.

I wasn't out for my leep. My dr prescribed Xanax and lortab for beforehand. It was a breeze.

I don't think men can be tested but I asked my dr the same thing and she stated that having sex w the same partner will not make it worse. You already have the virus. The precancerous cells are just the effects of the virus, has nothing to do w whether you continue to have sex with the same partner. I personally told my partner, he was understanding. However, I've been told by more than one gyno it's not necessary to disclose it. The main risk there is if they were to sleep with someone else, that woman could contract it. Men are usually just carriers.
