Are u serious....u have researched this all over...have u read the posts on this support group...I am very angry with u....there are all kinds of solutions to this if u would read...there are shitaki mushrooms..tea tree oil topical, there is Gene Eden vir u czn buy online, coconut oil capsuls, activammunine with DIM u can buy online, red algae supplements, and doctors that put stuff on your warts, plus there is acid cider vinegar, and sanguinarian root u can use topical, there are all kinds of solutions, there are the HPV posts on utube from doctors that educate people, and there is even hope, once the virus is suppressed, we can have safe sex...u havent read the posts and success stories on this support group...I will never stand for the statement there is no hope...Im a nurse and lived in that for multiple years because a doctor told me that....I got on this support group , read the posts and believed in the solution and it came...u need to quit whining on here...these people that have posted for years found hope, solutions, and have good lives...whine somewhere else...the truth is the truth

If you read my post you would see, that I was asking a question about something AFTER my warts go away. I've been treating a very bad outbreak for 2 months straight based off of info from people HERE. Using all of the information I have found HERE. I had a simple question about after the fact. Why are you bashing me? I'm not "whining", you're a terrible person to be on this website and bash someone looking for answers when there isn't any clear answers elsewhere online.
I have been doing everything. My QUESTION was about oral sex after an outbreak has cleared up. Shame on you for being so rude to someone with a simple question.

To answer you directly, no, oral sex is not necessarily over--but you should use a dental dam ( research oral dams and oral sex) Anybody who is not in a long term committed relationship should use a dental dam. And I even will go as far as to say that even in a long term committed relationship, both parties should take a lengthy course of immune building/virus fighting supplements, while practicing barrier sex as a preventive, until the woman has had at least two clean paps and vaginal examinations. Unfortunately, the onus, has to be on the woman in this regard, since there is no readily available test for men. Also, know this: men can carry the genital wart and cancer causing strains without showing any symptoms.

First of all, Tracy Hammond, that was a bizarre response... really weird way to respond to someone in a support group? anyway...
I had HPV I personally LOVE oral sex lol. I am in a committed relationship and once my warts are removed (i am getting them surgically removed because they are around my urethra) I will continue with unprotected oral sex as usual. But for the time being as long as im in a flare up I wont. Its rare to get warts in your mouth apparently. If your in a committed relationship, once your warts have cleared I would say its fine... but wait and make sure there gone for a couple moths or so. My rational is that my boyfriend has given me oral sex countless times, and weve been together a year. Since I recently had an outbreak (no he didnt cheat on me) this means that I had HPV for a while or he passed it on to me, whatever the case, if he hasn't shown any symptoms thus far, with the amount of un protected sex we have already had, he probably wont now... I dont know thats just me.

Hi! First thing, I think you should ask your boyfriend to be vaccinated. Secondly, I totally understand what you are feeling right now, but I think you should try to relax and calm down as much as you can. The immune system weakens when one feels stressed, angry, and tired. And that fact doesn't help your body fight the outbreaks, so I think it is one of the reasons for the long duration of your current outbreak.

I totally believe oral sex is not over after the outbreak ends. In order to prevent future outbreaks try taking antivirals.If you're interested, I write about few of them in my blog so you're welcome to check it out. (HPVreview)

I agree with the person who says to try and calm down, since stress does weaken the immune system. I know how troubling it is to wonder about how things will be once the outbreak is over. I am personally worried to death about giving and receiving oral with this virus. You should definitely have a talk with your boyfriend about his thoughts on the idea before you come to a conclusion. The end decision should come from both of you. Try to focus on clearing the outbreak, wart by wart, and then deal with the oral business. Worrying about that now will in no way help you clear your outbreak any quicker.

I appreciate everyone's helpful replies. The outbreaks have stopped, BUT, the last 2 remaining warts have not responded to medication at all. I have been aggressively trying to rid them for probably a little over 2 months now. Knock on wood that no others come up, and during the duration of medicating these two as I said, no new ones have sprouted. The issue is that I have been trying to rid all of the previous and now these since the middle of September. My boyfriend and I had only been intimate for 3 months prior to my diagnosis. Then 1 1/2 months in (September) the start of what is now a 6 month nonstop battle has ceased our sex life completely for the entire time. It has done a lot of damage not being intimate, not to mention has taken a huge toll on me, as I was a happily sexual active person prior. Now I've gone through the longest stretch of celibacy and I'm shattered. I don't know why my two smallest warts to date are the only two that won't die. I am terrified when I actually can finally rid them that my luck will be as before and a new one will spring up immediately just like before. This is a maddening life to live. I'm completely destroyed from it. And at this point I just want these two gone so I can not have to feel them itch on a daily basis. I've completely lost all hope.
