Fight it. Best bet is to fight it, be encouraged and live. I know it's tough, when I first found out about it, I freaked out. I blamed myself and hated myself. But still, I fought. Fought hard to get this emotion out of my head and to be a better person.

I found my HPV in the beginning of June and got the diagnosis on August 9th of this year. I was scared and disgusted with myself seeing as I have only had four sex partners and only one without a condom. We had both been tested before we had sex and thought that we were being safe, but turns out HPV cannot be tested for. I literally thought that my life was over, because there seemed to be a lot of them. They were not huge, but noticeable. I think that people put too much of a stigma on HPV. Genital warts are generally not what they teach us in high school, and can be as small as razor bumps. I was given a cream that was rather expensive, but very very worth the money. I applied it as directed and within two-three weeks everything was gone!! No scarring and no discomfort. I know that being healthy is a key thing, and though I have been taking my vitamins but I am still a sick person in general. I have had lumps cut from my breasts and breast area and my tonsils just taken out two weeks ago. After all of these instances as of the beginning of September I have been outbreak free. To tell the truth there are even days that I do not think about genital warts or worry about them. It is very hard for the first few months and it takes a lot of tolerance and willpower. This is not going to overcome your life, I promise. My best advice aside from the health requirements, just do not stress and beat yourself up so much. Here are some quotes that may help a little :)

This does NOT define you at all!! Please, remember that. I struggled for so long thinking that I was my HPV. I felt unclean, I felt sick, I felt nasty, I felt depressed... Please try your best to take care of yourself and love yourself. Truly, that is the only way to beat this virus. You have to be optimistic and tell yourself that your body will do its best to heal. Depression, crying...I did that, too...but it made the HPV worse. Don't let the warts win. You are stronger than them!!!

It still feels bad/sick/gross/scary
I've been trying to tell myself again that they are not there.
I used the cream here and there.
I've been on and off all my medications.

I just checked and it's all still in there (just slightly condensed forms) as though they are smaller warts or bumps. The area isn't feeling so great. I'm a gay man this is ruining masturbation entirely. Not to mention the sex I could be having.

I didn't have any sex without a condom. I can't blame myself.
