You're not the only one!! I'm going insane too...I've been told by the gyno that those bumps inside my vagina are normal and are not warts, but I can swear they were not there before!! And I keep thinking on how I got infected...It doesnt make any sense at all...I'm paranoid too :(

I know what you mean it was getting in the way of my studying! But I started tca treatments which worked after five treatments and I would just check the day before I went to the doctor because checking everyday is pretty much pointless sense u can't do anything about it unless treating it at home. Don't let this consume you try and set aside a certain amt of time to research it or think about it or whatever and then let the rest of your day be devoted to other things

OMG do i understand paranoia! The only advice i can give you is to get them checked by an expert and not sit around picking at your genitals, worrying about what you are uncertain about :-)

Yeah, totally. I always go in when I suspect something. I think the derm is tired of treating me!

Give yourself a time limit a day that you'll think/obsess over it and then gradually cut back. I would try knew things like yoga or meditation because it involves gaining mastery over your thoughts and mind which is wayyyyyyy helpful with this stuff.

And warts are no big deal in the end. I hope that girl you like is understand of your situation. And, if not, just keep plugging at it until you meet someone who is.

Also, I think counseling is great b/c there's so much anxiety, loss of self-esteem, etc with having an std.

I have been suffering from paranoia ever since my ex told me she had HPV, I check my scrotum several times a day. One day I decided to shave down there and noticed a couple of brown blemishes about the size of a pencil eraser. I immediately went to the doctor and he said they were most likely birthmarks. It makes sense because I have the same looking spots on my arms and back. It just goes to show that paranoia could make you imagine things that aren't really there. Take it one day at a time and seek medical attention when you know for sure that something is wrong.

Calus, I have those brown blemishes too. I've made a concerted effort recently to not check down there so much...it does no good to worry so much about it. Life goes on.

I know what you mean. I've been constantly worried and constantly thinking about it. I did research a couple times late at night and couldn't sleep because I was so upset abotu the scary things I found. I sat and wondered who gave it to me and how I could have prevented it. I felt ok eventually but then we found them on my boyfriend and I immediately started having anxiety about it again. I felt so terrible and upset about it and couldn't think about anything else. I am also constantly chekcing myself and I'm freaked out that they're growing in my throat or inside my vagina. I have no way of looking and it's driving me nuts wondering. I can't seem to relax.
