Btw...I just met the new guy (less than a week ago). Im no where near ready to be intimate with him. Im just trying to be honest and forthcoming about my future (if there is one) with this guy and unsure when the right tine is to disclose the HPV info. I don't want either one of us to get too far along and then I disclose ...."oh btw...I have HPV". I've never been married (b/c I've never been asked & never met right guy)...but I'm hoping this new guy won't judge why I've never been married bc of HPV. THIS SUCKS!!!!

Update: So, tonight I find myself in great relief as I held my integrity and had a chat with the new guy I met about having HPV. I've been very upset in thinking about "how" to raise the subject up for discussion. Well, the opportunity just surfaced (while out to dinner/pizza...who would've thought, right?) and I just went with it. Surprisingly, he listened closely to everything I was saying and then held my hands. I was shocked!!! I'm still very worried about facing upcoming two surgeries but at least a little (a lot) of stress is off my shoulders. I told him that I don't sleep around so regardless of current medical situation, it would be some time before we would become intimate with each other. He totally understood and said he would "wait" for me to heal. I'm tickled pink and at least tonight will sleep with a lightened heart.

Glad to hear things went well. Also, good luck with the future surgeries. We all forebode having any procedure done, but such is life. I had to get my tonsils out a few months back and literally everything that could go wrong did. It all turned out okay, so I can look back and laugh about it in the future.

Sad update: Thought meeting my new friend was going well. He's been single from his last girlfriend for over a year and just told her and their daughter that he just started dating a woman (me). Things were going great, so I thought. Now, I haven't heard from him in 3 days and he hasn't answered my gentle texts (1 each day). He was consistent in calling me every morning before he went to work and then a light call at lunch. Texts were non-invasive and we talked or visited each other a few times a week. Now - Nothing. I'm left in tears again because I'm not sure if he is more aware of what HPV is and is afraid to get involved with me or if he went back to his girlfriend or what. My tears are not for him....they're for me. I'm so beat up about never finding the right relationship. I feel worthless and can't understand why love never finds me. I'm reaching out for mental health (1st appointment on Friday) b/c I just can't cope anymore. This guy was very established in life and I thought was a grounded person - like myself. Unfortunately, not the case. I struggle with theoretical question; How do you find love and happiness within yourself when all you find is rejection (in relationships)? Throw HPV into the mix and FORGET ABOUT IT.....life is a mess!!!

ok - so, just found out the guy that I just met, who I was truthful about my HPV/upcoming surgeries, now has been ignoring me for the last 3 days. Just looked back on Match.com and see he's searching again....after he profoundly expressed to me that he didn't want to search anymore and wanted to date only me (of course this was before I was "HONEST" about my HPV. So, take away from this is...FUCK BEING HONEST!!!! Probably 90% of fucking everyone (sorry for the cursing) is walking this earth is infected with this "ugly" disease. What gets me is that there is no test for men to check if they are infected....so, kudos to them...they get to, once again, rule the fucken world!!!! I'm so tired of this whole disease, being patient, nice/lady, etc....FUCK EVERYONE AND HPV!!!!

Hey don't give up...please. I was also diagnosed with Hpv/genital warts last November 2017. I also wanted to date. I'm already 32. lost my virginity to the one who gave this to me. I still hope and praying I find the one who could accept me with this condition. Don't loose hope on finding that person who will stick with you through thick and thin. I have read one article before about a girl who just kept dating but did not engage in sex yet. just to feel herself normal again through dating. when she found a guy that really is into her, she made that confession and said he can have HPV vaccine to prevent him from contacting hpv. The guy still accepted her. Then after he finished his doses of the vaccine, they were able to become intimate with each other.

How I hope I have gotten before the vaccine even though it is expensive in our country. I also pray that I would find the one for me the same like the girl I mentioned on the story. Hope you're doing well from your surgeries. And just keep praying, if you do believe in God. Just give all your suffering to Him, and he will just handle the rest for you. I hope I'm not stepping on your religious preference.

Hi I am 42 going to be 43 nexts month, I would love to know more about you sound like someone that I have alot in common with you, I have a great job and been doing the same work for 14 years, own my own home, no kids and never been married. I got my unwanted gift from a girlfriend when I was around 20. She knew she had it and was never going to tell me until the common broke and she started crying. I don't really think of it as it's the end of the world sometimes it's a pain in the ass when it comes to sex but it's never stop me enjoying life. Hello, I just wanted to say this and maybe make a few people feel better about not getting the Gardisil vaccine. I got the vaccine before I was sexually active, turns out the Gardisil vaccine’s purpose is to prevent HPV that causes cervical cancer not HPV that causes genital warts. I was diagnosed with genital warts this August. I’m really sorry to hear about the situation you’ve gone through... if someone won’t accept you because you have genital warts they don’t even deserve to get to know the awesome person that you are! I wish I could give you a positive dating story, but I am too terrified to start dating right now. Good luck with dating in the future, I have hope that you will find someone who will love you for all that you are.

Good morning - It's been more than a few months since I posted on here. I've had both my surgeries (laser and abdominal hysto) and continue to go for mental health counseling. I was in a pretty bad area of my life over the last year but I feel a little stronger every day. I'm still not dating anyone as fear of disclosure takes over me so I consume my life in other ways to exist as best I can (5ks, work, etc.). I appreciate everyone's comforting responses. I'm a country girl at heart (music) and recently found a song that lifts my spirits...."Sway" (Danielle Bradberry). Music is my personal escape and feel this song fills me up with hope and happiness. Right now, I'm also in the process of selling my home and buying a new home so this excitement also is distracts me from the daily thought of "HPV".

Glad to hear that your getting better and good luck on buy your new house not sure if I would buy another one myself it always seem like I had to jump through one more hoop just to get the one I got now, I am glad to have it just didn't care for the process. Not sure what to say about myself, I don't do drugs or smoke I work alot 50 to 60 hr a week I like to stay busy, play drums and like to be outdoors on my days off, have pets idk I am 6-1 tall weight about 215 lb I do like drink tall boys on my day off or have a long day work if there anything want to know or talk about feel free to ask
