I guess it’s possible that the existing red spots could be scarring.... I wish I could help more... I guess I don’t know much more than you do... but if you did have a test for it and it was clear, then maybe the red spots are scarring. Did you tell your dermatologist about the test? One thing I’ve found is that once you have hpv, doctors seem to immediately assume it’s all from hpv whenever a new issue arises in the same area rather than actually investigating it to determine if it is.
