I'm new to this group. It's nice to have this forum for support and to connect with others.
I've always tested negative for STD's and HPV when I do my annual pap exam. When I received the diagnosis of high risk HPV the first time , I was shocked and feeling scared because I had been sexually active with the person that I started a new relationship with. I listed the dates below and what the HPV high risk positive diagnosis was.
04/20/2018 - Pap smear showed Epithelial Cell Abnormality. Atypical Squamous Cells Of Undetermined Significance (ASC-US)
10/25/2019 - Pap smear showed Epithelial Cell Abnormality. Low Grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesion (LSIL)
11/15/2019 - Referred to OBGYN by my primary doctor for a colposcopy. The biopsies of the colposcopy did not show any abnormal cancerous cells. The follow up was in six months to do a pap smear to check to see if I test positive for HPV.
09/09/2020 - Pap smear showed Epithelial Cell Abnormality. Atypical Squamous Cells Of Undetermined Significance (ASC-US). Recommended treatment was colposcopy on the date listed below.
09/21/2020 - The biopsies of the colposcopy did not show any abnormal cells. Unfortunately, the lab that performed the biopsies couldn't check to see if the strain is one of the 2 more aggressive strains (HPV 16 and 18). The follow up was in twelve months to do a pap smear to check to see if I test positive for HPV again.
It's worries me and concerns me that it's been three years with the HPV diagnosis and that my body hasn't cleared it. I hate the feeling of HPV hanging over my head and I'm ashamed of getting it. I'm worried that I have passed HPV to my boyfriend especially because we were having oral sex prior to me being diagnosed positive for HPV the first time. We have been having protected sex. Luckily I haven't experienced any outbreaks of warts or itching in the genital areas. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the pap smear shows positive for high risk HPV but the bioposies of the colposcopy showed no sign of cancerous cells. Because of that I'm confused in why I still have HPV. Has anyone experienced what I just mentioned? If so, what did you do to clear HPV?
In a previous post, someone recommended taking a herbal treatment from Dr. Sam Agumba to cure HPV. His website is: https://dragumbasolutioncent.wixsite.com/spell. Has anyone taken this? If so, has it helped?
Hello, I've recently been tested positive for HPV but I had a test 18 months ago with a negative test and without a sexual partner in the meantime. a) if it was dormant could I have gotten a negative test 18 months ago and now that it's active have a positive test now?b) could I have picked this up whilst not having a sexual partner from my test 18 months ago.
Hi, I was wondering if there are some Women out there that would like to connect with men like me, with HPV, so that maybe we can keep from having to go through the same old thing when starting a relationship. As it is now, we have to talk about it with whoever we want to have a relationship with and hope they except your situation... So... let's talk if you want.
