tHANKS TO mISSY WHEN I WENT TO SEE MY DERMATOLOGIST AND
ASKED ABOUT GW COMING BACK
HE RECCOMMENDED A PRESCRIPTION FOR ALDARA WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO KILL THE VIRUS AND PREVENT IT FROM POPPING UP.I HAVENT USED YET. HAS ANYWAY TRIED
IT OR KNOW ABOUT IT PLEASE
LET ME KNOW ! WAS TOLD ALSO
TO APPLY IT 3 TIMES A WEEK IF YOUR IN A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP.

Yes Aldara does work!!..and the directions are apply 3x a week..when you have an outbreak...regardless if you are in a relationship or not..If you are, and have an outbreak..you should not have sex..the risk is higher of someone else getting infected during an outbreak..

Glad you went to the dermatologist! Great step on getting this virus under control. I never used Aldara, I had mine surgically removed and then did an acid treatment called Wartec. Aldara is a cream, Wartec is an acid. My derm told me it's like saying Coke vs. Pepsi. As a rule, your warts should not return and you should not have any outbreaks , at least not like the first. Life span of GW is 8-24mons.

THANKS FOR YOUR 2 REPLYS THEY ARE HELPFUL. WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT ALDARA CREAM AS FAR AS HOW LONG DO YOU CONTINUE USING THIS FOR ? ALDARA IS FOR GW PREVENTION NOT USED AS THE ACTUAL TREATMENT. THANKS AGAIN BSU AND MISSY.

I am using aldara right now and it is working really well. I had a pretty nasty outbreak on the shaft of my penis and it cleared it all up. Good luck.

I should also note that I had the acid treatment prior to using aldara. The aldara can leave your skin feeling pretty tender and in that case, it is okay to skip a turn in the cycle.

Aldara WILL leave the tender skin around the vagina very sore - so just be prepared for that.

It does work, but you'll feel worse before you feel better. Just be sure to gently wash your vaginal area, spend some time air drying, and DO NOT have sex or masturbate. (Yes...masturbation can spread the virus too.)

But Aldara did work for me.

I'm trying aldara right now actually.

I only did two of the times I was supposed to so far.. it was only my first week..

and I think I got it on skin I wasn't supposed to because some skin started to hurt insanely bad. Like my lips... not that anyone wanted to know that.

So I think I'll start back up tonight because I really want them gone...

Are you allowed to get it on skin that is not the warts? Cuz they prescribed it to me too and i tried to use it once and i kind of made a mess with it so i washed it off and just decided to use condylox again to finish off my tube and do an extra cycle just in case.
