I have the HPV virus associated with general warts. i have had it for 2 years now. One of my friends said that her doc said that HPV can go away. I was wondering if anyone knows if the general warts strand can go away and if it can is there still a risk of giveing it to my partner if it goes away.

Read the above link. :) When docs say it goes away they mean it goes dormant and won't cause any problems again in most cases. Like all viruses (flu, herpes, etc) it stays in your body and resurfaces when your immune system is compromised (thus try to keep healthy). Once it goes dormant I wouldn't think it would be able to be passed on. That's the general agreement on most sites I've visited. :S

I am pleased to say after having LEEP in 2008 and GW last year I am showing clear Pap's and the warts have gone since they were frozen off with liquid nitrogen. I felt so desperately sad when I went thru all of this over the past year, but I eat a vege diet now, take supplements, limit alcohol, caffeine and have never smoked and now things have come right. There is hope!
