HOPEFUL HEARTS...LIVING AGAIN AFTER THE LOSS Community Group
We are a group of people who have grieved the loss of a spouse, partner, or lover and are searching for a life without our mate. Some looking for their own identity as an individual or finding a life for themself. Some looking for companionship or a serious relationship with someone new. And some just feeling lost and unsure. We offer encouragement, support and virtual...
I hope that the times gives you both the clarity to work out the kinks in your relationship and helps you both communicate with each other better. Hoping it all works out.
Hugs,
Val

I've been working on me and trying to deal with this in a healthy way. Yet, I've cried every day. I miss him. I really love him and I really want him in my life. He never treated me badly. He just broke up because he was afraid of commitment and going through another divorce. He hadn't had enough time to heal from his divorce when we met.
I don't know what the future holds. I still love him and I still want him in my life. We've agreed to not communicate until the 12th of February. 10 more days to go.
I've realized a lot in these last few weeks. How much I really do love him and how much I tried to deny it in order to protect my kids and friends from being hurt by "me loving somebody else". I remain hopeful...who knows? Maybe I just needed to learn how big my heart truly is.....
I know that this is no the clear cut answer you were hoping for. It seems that he has a lot of ambivalence and insecurity from his own issues (his divorce) that he has to work out. Until he does, I am very afraid he is going to keep yo-yoing. I hope this is not the case for I want nothing other than for you to be happy with this man that you so clearly have feelings for. However, he needs to do some of the hard work on his own, for his sake and yours, and until he does.... I just don't know.
I do know that Pat and I have succeeded now for three years on very clear communication and understanding of each others lives and pasts. But, we had come to our realizations about our lives on our own before we got together. We both had acknowledged our spouses death, that death's impact, and how we wanted to move forward with our lives. I am afraid in some sense dealing with divorce is messier work, not as clear of break of demarcation, I suspect. I do not know as it is not in my experience.
Please, please take care of you!
Hugs,
Val
I thought I was ready last January when I started dating. How will I know when I am ready?
