I posted this to offer hope to some here that may have none. I remember when I spent a lot of time here that there were many posters who felt hopeless and didn't believe that they will ever be happy again. Even though many do know it happens to others, some feel it won't happen to them. I once felt that way myself.

Wow! Congrats!! I'm happy to see people on here posting. I haven't met anyone yet, although I have a widower "friend" who corresponds with me. He's way old. However, I did take a HUGE step and put down a deposit on a moving company to haul my stuff back across the country. Next, I have to have an estate sale, which is a biggie. I am both excited and nervous, but falling off the ladder was my wake up call. (Things got really bad here.) It's a step of faith because I really don't have the money yet. My potential moving day is June 1, but it's flexible.

I believe there are more people we could love again just never the same and Yet....maybe through your healing you've become more Aware of what we have again.. Oh i sure miss those days and feelings almost like a Dream again. I had that twice well maybe a bit with my first everything until he became possessive and threatened to hit me and tried to control but hey we were like 16 to almost 18.

Hello, I lost the love of my life 13 years ago in 2007. People like Cliffskat,, Gerald 222, Scott, and pathoflife and many others showed me that I could still live a happy and content life. They were right. I found with them showing faith in me, I did accomplish what they described.
I began by finding out widowed man who became a trusted friend to talk with and be social with. Moving forward I met a good friend who I realized was someone I could care for and enjoy life with. We were together many years and sadly he passed from a heart attack. Through these experiences I knew my future was not on who I met. But who I was.
I was living with myself and doing my own desires. We can be happy without someone else. Being independent again for years I moved out of state and recently began finding pleasure in a guy I talk to online. We are friends. We may become more. I realize that the future doesn't make or destroy my joy. I enjoy being with him and think he's worth spending time with. The future is mine to enjoy. That is the secret to happiness. Love you

Yes life does go on and it goes on beautifully. I have someone to live my life with as well and we have been happily married for four years. If I could have one wish for all those who have lost and long to go on. That wish would be for he or she to know that the ones that we loved and lost would rejoice to see us happy again.
