I need help. For the past 5 weeks I have been spending time with a very nice man. We see each other 3 sometimes 4 times per week. Last Sunday I suggested we do my dream date...a light supper, walk along the shore and then sit and watch the sunset on the beach. We held hands, hugged and he held me on the beach as the sun set. Once the date was over I started reflecting on how I felt or should I say didn't feel about it? And that is my problem, I still have no feelings one way or another for this man. So, is it fair to keep seeing someone who is obviously taken with me? Do I keep trying, with the hope that feelings will eventually appear?
It has been 5 years since Ron died. I have had two serious relationships since then, but I question weather I had feelings for either of those men as well. I can do and say all the right things but do I FEEL them? My friends say I haven't met the right one yet. They also say I am looking for reasons to NOT like someone. Having my one friend chastise me the other night really sent me into a tailspin. She said "you're too picky, just jump his bones for Pete's sake". Maybe she thought it was funny, but as I started crying she realized that this is a very difficult thing for me to come to terms with. I'm broken and not really sure I will ever heal. Lori
