Hello, My name is austin. I am 27 years old. I'm not really sure why I am here. I guess I just need to vent. I've always been so strong and indipendent. I never thought I would be in the position I am in.
I have a beautiful wife and 3 beautiful children. I work hard for a living. Last year I designed homes from water damage with hurricane matthew so my company could save victims money by drying the home rather then destroying it. When I got dispatched, we moved from Oregon to South Carolina. Mt wife was in a home we rented 2 hours away from where I was dispatched. We did not know the area, bit while I was away 3 weeks after work someone broke in. I immediately called my boss in that area to run down to the house. Luckily my family was ok but my wife was devistated. I then told my boss, my family comes to the hotel with me or I won't be able to focus. He agreed. 2 days later he changed his mind due to other partnered companies complaining that it was unfair. My wife refused to be alone and I wouldn't allow it. So we did the only thing we could.
The move to Oregon was too expensive to get back into our own place, so we needed some help from relatives. We agreed to stay with our sister in law and her family in a small town and I would get a decent job to assist them also. This was 40 days ago, and I got the job within the first week of being here. I am the office manager at a water company. My wife is like super human. She cooks, cleans, does laundry, and babysits their kids whenever she wants and never complains.
We received a 15 day notice from them. We've searched and hunted for a place but this area is so small, everything is taken. The nearest town is a 2 hour commute and our vehicle only gets 15 Mikes to the gallon. So we have no options. We have a 5 year old, a 1 year old and a 3 month old baby.
I can buy a tent and insulate it... dig a hole for a restroom... buy anything we need to try to keep my job and stay warm. The problem is the weather here gets to -20 degrees. I am worried about my babies health. Not sure how we would bathe.
I have enough money for a deposit on a place, but it will be 2-3 months before one is available. My family has a very professional dimeanor... I only have dress clothes also no warm clothes but I can buy some.
I will do whatever it takes to take care of my family! We don't drink or do drugs or anything, we've always just worked and focus on our children. I have no idea how things went south so fast but I need advice from someone.
Losing my kids is not an option and they will not be cold or go hungry!
How do I bathe my kids in -10 degree weather? What do I do with water from the creek to purify it? My baby needs fresh water for her bottle, my wife doesn't produce milk anymore. How do you suggest we wash our clothes. Please help! This job is all my family has to hold onto and I have to appear presentable.
