My guess is, your skins dry. Showering only keeps it moist till you dry off. Have you tried a moisturizer for your skin. My dad gets that way too. Specially in the Winter when the heaters on drying out his skin more. And he itches like crazy soon after his shower.

Also, commercial soaps have all kinds of harsh chemicals in them
Even tho the one I'm about to mention is commercial, it may be gentle enough if you don't want or can't use a natural soap from the health food store....
try Johnson and Johnson baby soap. I think they have a lavender one and another one for sensitive skin with oatmeal in it.
Use coconut oil to rehydrate right after your shower/bath.
Aveno also makes a soap for sensitive skin :)

A new chemical or Fluoride may have been added to your water. You can check with your town. Buying Unscented Soap might help too. You can buy a water filter that fits on your shower head.

We can't get filters for our showers....wish we had a bath but hey being in Australia its just not a good move. I use baby shampoo and it works well on my hair.

Hmmmm think i will give south gippy water a call....our towns/city dont look after the water thats a separate company. We live across the road from were our water comes from.

Its odd but i never had this problem before I grow up on tank water, and only had town water when i was house sitting but didn't have this problem then.

hi such as life I am not sure if they have this in Australia but this is what I have used I live in usa its a soap made out of glycerin the companies name is clearly natural the soap is called clearly natural and its an unscented glycerin soap that's the best to get is the unscented kind ..you can also google unscented glycerin soap and it will tell you what is available... almpnd joy

Look for bath products with Colloidal Oatmeal which is used to treat itchy skin and eczema. Aveeno has a nice product line. Aveeno Bath Treatment Packets were very effective when I had a very bad case of poison ivy.

Also products with sulfate are bad for your skin. I use African black soap by Alaffia. It is not too expensive. There are others brands which are sulfate free. You may need to order some via the internet.
