Hodgkin's Lymphoma Support Group
Hodgkin's lymphoma, formerly known as Hodgkin's disease, is a type of lymphoma characterized by the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells. Unlike other lymphomas, whose incidence increases with age, Hodgkin's lymphoma occurs more frequently in two separate age groups, the first being young adulthood (age 15-35), the second being in those over 50 years old.
so far i am doing well with not having this re show up i have had about
4-5 pet scan's since they found my hodgkins its been about 3-4 years i havent needed a pet scan again for about a year
as far as i know the best way to try and make sure that its under controll is to do both treatments
with me being 28 now and i was bad over weight they first liked the weight problem cause you lose weight in chemo
they said that i was on the strongest chemo that they could possibly put someone on i am trying to be able to move on since and continue with my goals i had set before it was found for instance gastric bypass surgery
and i wanna be a support to others going through the chemo and radiation treatments
its hard to find a support who knows what its all about unless they themselves have been there
