My CD4 is 470 and VL is 0 , however the other month i has a small wart on my penis and after a biopsy it come back as Kaposis Sarcoma , the hospital have froxw it a couple of times but its still ther, I have just had to have a blood test for HVV8-PCA , Atripla has been my only medication and is a great medication apart from the dreams, i have been on meds around 4 years now, but cant understand why this has come with good CD4 Readings. and not sure of the outcome of the latest test , and what it means. i have to go back and see the specialist on t he 13th July so will have to wait and see , anyone had anything simlar ?
The same applies to Kaposis sarcoma. This type of cancer is said to be "caused by" the HHV6 virus, but many people infected with HHV6 never get a lesion. Immune deficiency increases the odds that a person who carries HHV6 will get a lesion, but some people with normal immune function can still experience the problem.
I am not an expert on HHV6 and KS, so I am not sure if having one KS lesion means that you are at risk for having more of them. For all types of cancer, early detection and removal of the cancerous tissue is a key part of fighting it. It is never a good idea to "just wait and see what happens".
i recovered very quickly, i impressed the plastic surgeon with how resilient i proved to be
now 4to5 months later, i had a second enhacment....
my left incision is healing a little slow but otherwise i have recovered quickly.
i am not due for another blood draw for about 2 months.
