In the beginning of April, I got very sick and no one knew why. I was hospitalized three different times. Eventually I had to go to Seattle to the big hospital and I had meningitis and encephalitis and I almost died.
Eventually they tested me for HIV and it was positive. I couldn't even believe it. It's just not fair. My husband is the only man I have ever slept with and it came with the worst consequences. It's just not fair.
He lives in another country and he recently got tested and gets his results this week. He thinks there's a chance that he's negative, but I know that he's not because there's no other way I could have gotten it. I'm just so confused and hurt.
I left my husband about two weeks ago. I'm so sad. I need someone to understand what I'm going through. Do you understand?

pasch, when we find out, there's a protocol we should adhere to for longevity. Both physically & mentally. There's a process provided by qualified grieving counselors that take us through the process of acceptance & willingness to be all we can be ( even though we have what we have ) The Government has provided us w/ Caseworkers & a fund that will help us begin our new journey. A caseworker is our navigational tool to help us establish living life positive w/ in the system. Our system doesn't have a sign on the roof stating " HIV+ care here " How's are things going since your diagnosis? Do you have a Immunologists? My name is Mark & welcome to DS. We are a caring family here w/ identical situations. Some of us here have been positive since the beginning. Much experience & friendship, we even have our own Dr Duke who drops in from time to time.
