Individuals who often get their feelings hurt due to extreme sensitivity. These individuals often take things the wrong way and/or get offended easily. They give a lot of people power and control over their lives.

i created this group because I have always been an extremely sensitive person. Any comment that I perceive as negative seem to hurt me more than the average person. Sometimes I feel like striking out at a person or saying something offensive back. I believe that certain comments that others have made to me would be offensive to many people, but what distinguishes me from many other people is the power I give to them. I give them the power to decide how I feel for sometimes the remainder of the day. Often I have difficulty forgetting about the negative comments made to me and avoid the people or similar social situations.

It's like ypou took the words right out of my mouth. Unless your going through it (which is pretty much a daily thing for me) then you can't possibly inderstand.

It’s comforting to know that there are other people in this world who experience what we are experiencing. That alone helps a lot

I'm frankly amazed how few outlets there are for people like us. Nowhere to talk. Just to share stories and "listen" and care. Not for hooking up, not to sell things, just to be there to care.

There are only two replies to your post, weeks later. Here I am far later than that. And that's it! You may not even read this. Maybe no one will.

So very sad for all those sensitive people out there. Very sad indeed.

I’ve started DBT therapy and it has been very helpful in learning how to manage my anger and sensitivity issues
