Highly Sensitive People HSP Community Group
The highly sensitive person (or HSP) is someone who cares deeply about everything ... feels emotions with great intensity ... is highly conscientious ... has a rich and complex inner life ... is very intuitive ... is often creative in a variety of ways... is easily overwhelmed and/or overstimulated. A HSP needs lots of quiet time, space, and freedom. If this sounds...
Next thing I knew, I`d heard from him, and he mentioned out of the blue that he was engaged... and his bride was a blonde.
Freaked out? Yes I was.
Can`t remember any other major ones. Although I can often wake up sort of "knowing" what time it is without looking at the clock and without having to set an alarm.
Great thread! xxx
It's so hard not to say anything because when things happen, then it's like "Really".
When 9/11 happened, I had told my ex days before something was going to happen. My neice was visiting Morgan Stanley 2 days before, stayed at the hotel, and she felt an odd feeling, and couldn't wait to get home. She was creeped out. I remember that morning, walking my son to school, walking home with another mom, looking at the beautifil sky, and eerily thinking somethings wrong. I got home, my then husband told me to turn on the news, and I told him what's going to happen. I live in Milwaukee, my neice at that time lived across the street from the hotel they put former Pres. Bush, we had multiple war ships flying. My sister-in-law was close to Pres. Bush's location, and experienced the dame planes. My ex will still not acknowledge that my family seems to know things.
My family says I have a photographic memory, they ask me what year was this photo taken or do you recall what I wore at that event, or who is in this photo? They look at me oddly it seems when they ask me do I recall this or that?
I have lucid dreams, vivid dreams. dreams that I think are consciously trying to tell me something and also I day dream things that later I think-what was that?
I feel Deja vu often about people, places.
I do not especially want these vibes sometimes nor am I sure I am actually getting such vibes, or maybe it is all in my imagination.
But then I have to take care I am not in a "psychotic' or dream fantasy or not dreaming. Sometimes I have thought that my feelings I think I had were actually dreams that I had and I just thought they were my conscious thoughts.
Or I think that people will say I AM in a psychotic phase and I will be looked at as not of sound mind if I reveal my thoughts, so I keep them to myself mostly.
One time I had this illusion, during one of my "paranoid" phases that I was one of those Indigo "star children" and that the world in general had found me, systemically the star child's were being found. I thought that if I did not let on that I knew I was a star child, and that if I kept quiet about the conspiracy and if I was quiet, that I would be allowed to escape the search because I did not want to be noticed or bothered.
Later that day, I got a phone call while busy at work, my family left message for me to call. I could not shake the thought it was my uncle and how intense it felt.
I called, he had passed away.
My grandmother told me that she has felt these things. I don't know if I do or if it means anything and I have been horribly wrong and paranoid and psychotic so it's a gamble on what is which. I certainly do believe in the power of the mind.
I don't mean above that just because I can recognize photos year taken or who was in them, that it's a photographic memory. My family tells me they ask my opinion on photos because they think I am still seeing the photo and the details in my memory even when I have not seen it in awhile.
I don't know if I have this.
Eidetic Memory: Is It Real?
http://kathrynvercillo.hubpages.com/hub/Eidetic-Memory-Is-It-Real
When I get glimpses of things, it doesn't shock me at this point. My husband and close family understand. When my husband and I first met, especially, our connection seemed to manifest sychronicity upon sychronicity... and luckily, he was an observer or a part of these experiences. They still happen from time to time, especially during important life events or changes.
Moreover, I started reading science books, it is such a non sense, I started to think we don't know what's possible or not.
So I thought about my own life, and from one day to another I started believe in some things.
Moreover, I am so good at predicting people behavior (nothing incredible but I never studied any psychological books or behavior analysis), that what you are saying barely surprise me.
