Highly Sensitive People HSP Community Group
The highly sensitive person (or HSP) is someone who cares deeply about everything ... feels emotions with great intensity ... is highly conscientious ... has a rich and complex inner life ... is very intuitive ... is often creative in a variety of ways... is easily overwhelmed and/or overstimulated. A HSP needs lots of quiet time, space, and freedom. If this sounds...
Not sure how being highly sensitive has anything to do with a limited social circle. I have gone through time zones with more and also less social network ... neither external condition is the source aka my brain bodies ability to sense and perceive with depth and intensity.
I've been doing research work for most of the time after acquiring the postgraduate degree. As most of the HSP, I enjoy a calm life with only a few very close friends.
Lots of relatives and friends say I've got very limited social experience...
Hence I wonder if meeting various people may enrich my social exprience and make me less sensitive to what happens around.
I do not think this is going to create less sensitivity but that it creates new patterns which then become paths of use over time and practice. This leads to less effort because many new items become the given and not as intense after processed repeatedly and then imprint.
The goal is to become more available for life and less in retreat due to inability to organize sensory/emotional information. I figure being super sensitive just means it will take more time to organize because I derive more from experiencing life.
I am totally for enriching social life ... this way I learn more about what I bring to the table of life and vise versa.
When I go out, which isn't all that often due to deadlines, I try to connect with people, clerks, lonely looking shoppers and so on. It helps. Good luck.
Fito, I think it could be a good idea to start part time and build up maybe later, if you want to. But customer service jobs can be tough so take things slowly and build in time to relax.
