The highly sensitive person (or HSP) is someone who cares deeply about everything ... feels emotions with great intensity ... is highly conscientious ... has a rich and complex inner life ... is very intuitive ... is often creative in a variety of ways... is easily overwhelmed and/or overstimulated. A HSP needs lots of quiet time, space, and freedom. If this sounds...
Hello - im new and introducing me to you all......
NewStart4me
Hello.....
please excuse this being long but im hoping to help people also.......x
I am a 40ish yr old woman who has only recentley in the last couple of years found out that i am an Empath.
I have always been a loner and people have never understood me and why i need alone time.
I am in fact an only child and i do beleive now that this was planned for me... Being a loner i beleive has NOTHING to do with me being an only child.
Here to start off with are a few things that help me cope and like ive said its only recentley that ive come to realise this......
I have always not been able to stay somewhere too long.... even at my parents house.. !...i have also come to realise that i hate being away from home , i think is more down to the fact of me needing my own space and being with people 24/7 on a vacation or holiday is just too much for me , again people dont seem to understand this and i get labelled selfish a lot.
If i go shopping i either go first thing in the morning or last thing at night as i can cope better.
I have my own car because i prefer to be in charge of my own daily schedule.
I love music but on the other hand too much noise bothers me , i havent found out why this is yet.....lol.
Theres quite a few more thing but right now my mind has gone blank, i will ad to this topid when they come back to me.
My problem that i have is this.....even though i have only just come to realise that i am a highly sensitive person or empath as we are called.......i have been married to a Narcissistic man for 27 years !.
The way i came to find out was by trawling the internet looking for what was wrong with our marriage.
Once i had found that he was a Narcissistic , i wanted to find out why i was constantly so ill......and when i say constantly i mean , every single day.
Being with a Narcissistic is hard enough itself but when your a HSP , its hell..........
recentley i have took it upon myself to sleep in seperate rooms to try and start healing myself for a start.
I am trying to emtionally detach from him and focus on myself only.........this is not proving easy.
I am also considering leaving because it has affected my health so much , but most of all i have found out that my soul is dying and knowing that for me made me do some serious thinking.
I have felt like i was dying emotionally for years but now i have all this information i feel that i need to actyally do something?
does this resonate with anybody?
much love xxxx

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I left after thinking that maybe I could just keep on going with the marriage for my daughters sake but realized it would be more harm than good, and that I wanted more out of a relationship
Being a loner does not mean that you want to be alone,, and lonely and alone are two different things, and one can feel alone inside a marriage or feel fine being alone. I like and need my alone time but do not want to be lonely.
You are in the right place here, and I hope that you can start a wonderful new life
