Nowadays, I am feeling so nervous, excited, sad, happy, restless and God knows what more.
Well, *shy* there is this guy whom I have been knowing for seven years now. I have not known him at all if I think about it. I just know that I like him very much. I used to practice sports with him. Now I get to meet him on Saturdays and only for one and a half hour. We hardly talk in the gym as we are busy playing badminton and I get too shy to initiate any conversation with him.
He is very different from the others. He talks only to the point and will not even bother to wait for me while leaving the gym. I know it's a one-sided love but I am not too sure about it.
He is on facebook but does not post much things for me to get a hint about him.
I know he is very studious, very hard working and crazy for sports. He seems to me very self-centered.
However, in the gym when I tell him about things that I do not like, for instance his self-centered and mean friends, he never argues. On the contrary he plays with me, but very less during these days. He prefers playing with them and I understand also, because I am not up to their level. Sometimes, I feel so helpless for being a girl and weak compared to them.
Yesterday, I handed him over money for the gym because he had paid for the previous months but he refused to take it. Earlier also, he has not taken. Can this possibly mean something?
When he is going to play with his friends, he makes sure someone else is playing with me. I think he is just trying to be nice to me because he knows that I have taken a lot of trouble to come and play considering the fact that I live very far from the gymnasium. I go there only for him.
I am thinking of confessing my feelings to him. I am a very shy person and do not have the courage just to say these few words.
This might endanger our friendship as well. This is a very delicate situation and it makes me cry. I know it will be my mistake in the end or I will only be the one who will get hurt in either ways.
What are the risks to this? What is the approach?
Moreover, yesterday while he was playing, he was losing on the set, when I came near just to see the match, he started winning. One of his friends started teasing me, telling me that it was because I came near that he won. I just gave him a smile and was rather shy by this remark. I looked at my crush's face, he was damn serious and I am sure he heard that comment.
While he was going, I said twice : "I am going now". I said: "Ok, I'll be going in a while myself."
If he was interested he could have waited but he never does that.
I really do not know what to do. I am getting restless because on the other side, my parents will be looking for guys to get me married and me unable to say my feelings.
It is very very very hard for me. Believe me.

He is like always very sure of himself. And we chat just to know whether "you'll be going to gym tomorrow" , he always says that, "ok, for now..got to go.see you later", stuffs like that. Always in a hurry to finish the conversation.
However, I have just made some new friends in the gym and they are really nice people, always laughing around... and while enjoying I get to do some sports as well.
I am afraid that if I leave this gym, I will have nowhere to go and practice my sports. :(
I might put on weight, so one really good thing happening over there are workouts and practice + new friends.
I know I am bugging you all with my excuses but really this is my current state of mind with so much going on around me right me right + my new job.

Yea, so today I did not go. I felt a little sad but in the afternoon I met a very good friend of mine and my mood lifted up again.
I will spend time mostly with people who makes me happy now and stop living in an illusion.
I will also stop chatting with that guy but for now his name appears on the top most of my fb friends list.
The thing is that I have never had any boyfriend and I thought that it was time to have one. Sometimes, I can get very lonely, no one to comfort me back. And, the girls of my age are already married or have someone in their life.
I feel so lonely and rejected at times, if you can understand.
But, I will definitely follow all the advice given to me here.
You all matter the world to me.

dreamyHope I never had a boyfriend until I was in my middle twenties, I did not date at all in high school, I know what you mean about thinking it's time, you are lonely, and you see other girls married or with someone.
You DO have a very good friend, that right there is special!
Very happy that your job is going well, and that you made some new friends, things may not be so bad as it seemed, illusions can lift us up but then set us up for a big fall.
